It has never been a good idea playing jazz in these very noisy places where people only go to eat and talk. Musicians have to make a living so it always will be the same.
Fischer is not only an excelente jazz player, composer and arranger. He's one of the best american musicians playin Latin music (Including brazilian and cuban)

Clare is a player and writer of tremendous depth. I have really been loving his recording with Gary Foster, Starbright.

Over the past few years I've finally gotten to explore the scope of Clare's writing realm! But to add to your question, I only have 1 album from Kenton's Neophonic: "Stan Kenton Conducts the Los Angeles Neophonic Orchestra" it is Capitol SMAS-2424..
Recorded at the Los Angeles Music Center 1965
Compositions by Hugo Montenegro, Johnny (John) Williams, Allyn Ferguson (Jack Elliott's co-writer), and the great Russ Garcia....Lots of LA greats and Kenton alumni too! Thanks for writing! F7
