In this video I explain how to change a folder's icon to a new icon you would rather have.

What you will need -
1. A folder that you want to change
2. A .ico file (You can get these at IconArchive and DeviantArt)

If you change the icon you cant see the contents of the folder

I'm Using Windows 7 Home Premium (I have it on aero basic to save resources) but it should still work in XP and Vista

  • Mine dosen't have customize.

  • @slowdown38 That would require some software to change the icon for every program with that type of icon, so like all of .txt would change to an icon. If you create a shortcut to the icon/program/file, you can change the shortcut's icon :)

  • Thanksss!! :D but how to change FILE icon. For example, a file with a blank icon. how can i change?
