@CCRider100 Exactly! The play-analysis was fun, when it was street level 20+ yrs ago. Now it's "taught" by people who have no idea.

"Generation X" was a misnomer from the start since it was really for those who didn't like 80s culture.

They tied it to my age group when all the new stuff started in the 90s... but it still made sense; two sides of a cultural coin. Then came Gen Y in the 90s boom, who were totally post-80s culture and clueless about it. The era really ended there.

Not all of this is true. The only reason this Generation is ''disrespectful'', as you older people put it, is because you don't understand. Not all of us smoke weed, or do all this other stuff. Generation Y is really known as 'Why are they here?' generation which starts for those born 1979 and later. It was declared after the 1999 Woodstock concert which made the 1994 Woodstock concert look like child's play in comparsion. When it ends, no one knows. The next generation most likely will be named 'Generation Z' and to be called the 'zipped' generation. Kids are getting worst with each passing generation; lack of discipline, disobedient, dispectful toward their elders and list goes on.

The worst part of all this generation stereotyping is that the so called "experts" cannot even agree on the years that constitute each generation.

Is Gen Y from 1976-1991 or 1981-2001 or even 1979-1995? That is a huge difference when dealing with rapid changes in culture, trends and attitudes.
