Free Heart Video Diary - Part 2: http://www.EmpowHer.com's patient advocate Todd Hartley talks about his Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) heart problem. What happens next? http://www.EmpowHer.com is a women's online health community.
In Sept of 2008 I was Dx with SVT, The cardiologist put me on a beta blocker called metatoprolol 100mg bid or twice a day. I am 29 currently. So at 28 I am taking a daily pill just to reg my heart rate to "normal" By Apr of 2009 the meds no longer worked. I had an ablation. My ablation that was to be simple procedure took me 12hr in surgery and the max amount of radiation allowed by the CDC. Now 6 mths later I find out that I am experiencing poss episodes cardiogenic shock from my surgery.Scary
take a good magnesium supplement like magnesium citrate or malate. if thast doesn't work take a potassium supplement. if that don't work, pop urself over the head with a frying pan and call it good.
You always put it off. You drama QUEEN.i've had that problem for 15 years, not dangerous. Annoying,FOR SURE,but not dangerous. Grow a pair, you're a man ,ARE YOU?
empower. from the small chin you have. i think you have sleep apnea. it can be a cause for your heart problem. i want you to do sleep stydy when u can sleep for 8 hors .
I've had it all my life...and I'm 30. Honey you need to CHILL out Mr. Drama Queen! Hahaha I know you're probably a little "wigged" out..but don't be. SVT is not dangerous....just annoying! My heart races at 300 plus beats per minute....not fun but not deadly and no need for dramtics. Just breath in and out....it will all be ok. Try an abalation, a no frills surgery done if a few minutes while you're awake. It worked for me for a few years....not anymore but hey no big deal!!!
What does the doctor say. I've had it for a year and even though it has gotten better, it never seems to go away. just when i think i'm find, it'll come back even if only once a day but it's still there. So worrying :(
@threelittleniglets King of hearts is the name of the company who makes the heart monitors. I am currently using that brand for my 30 day monitor.
