The Interrogation of Michael Crowe 7/9

Based on a true story, this made-for-cable drama focuses on the plight of 14-year-old Michael Crowe (Mark Rendall). When his younger sister is found murdered in her bed, Michael is accused of the crime and hauled into the local police station. After a grueling interrogation, the cops manage to coerce a confession out of the beleaguered boy. Michael's mother, Cheryl (Ally Sheedy), together with a small band of sympathizers, desperately takes on "the System" to fight for the boy's fundamental legal rights.

@Effystonee What do you mean they are just kids?...14 years olds are capable of murder, many many 14 year olds have murdered people. I think the police were scum cohersing the poor lad Michael to a confession, as he was actually innocent in reality, but for you to say they're innocent purely based on their age "14" is ridiculous, many people under 14 years of age have comminted murder

@Effystonee That guy wasn't quite middle aged, he looked to be early 30's. But I have no idea why they didn't concentrate more on him. The Tracey thing, the fact they were already questioning him about following kids,it almost seemed like the had a personal reason to go after Michael. I'm going to try and see this 48 hrs somewhere.Does anyone know the name of that episode.Those cops should have lost their jobs and the right to ever be in law enforcement again.

The thing is the REAL criminals do lie the tactics are the same it's not that they r only looking for a conviction they feel the suspect is truly guilty and do everything they can for a confession no cop truly wants to convict someone innocent this is their job

What I don't understand is why the police would try to get someone who did not commit the crime to admit they did it. They really are not doing the publc any good, which they are supposed to be PROTECTING, because if you put an innocent person in jail, the real killer is still out there, able to murder again. There is no point in having a police department if they are not going to protect us from the REAL criminals
