Wake Me Up was the 8th top 10 single released by Girls Aloud. An alternate version was recorded and later released on the special edition rarities disc of The Sound of Girls Aloud (Greatest Hits).
The video here is a live performance of Wake Me Up at the V Festival 2006. This was just as Girls Aloud were getting really big. This was by far their biggest audience to date and the sound was all jacked up! Their mics kept cutting in and out and ambient noise kept cutting in on them through the amplifiers. Too bad too, because their live vocals are wicked. I overlaid the Wake Me Up rarities version onto the V performance.

This sounds very familiar to the Tony Lamezmas Love Affair mix of Wake me up, but different vocals and a lot shorter.
Like this mix but prefer the Tony Lamezmas version.

This is a really cool version - I really hope they do another tour once they have finished their new album cos i really really want to see them live - they are fab!

They're planning another stadium tour for summer '09! I hope they break the US charts with this next album so they tour the States as well as UK.

I think they are good enough to break the US charts, its whether or not their management is clever enough to sort it out and advertise them.
Im glad about their summer '09 tour cos i have never seen them live before but i love their music cos their last tour got sold where i was so i missed out on it; but this time i will pay anything to see them.
