The penalties are severe if you do not have the proper visa when I have worked in the EU and Asia. I always have to have my passport at my desk and when I go anywhere in another country, including Mexico.

Exactly. Giving illegal aliens Driver's Licenses practically gives them de-facto legal status in this country, as that form of Identification is used very often in important Documents to verify a US Citizen's or US Resident's place of legal residency and true identity, thus giving them "under color of law" access to US services and benefits intended for the people of the US, and not of foreign Nations. Illegal immigrants should NOT be issued a Drivers License, this is just common sense, what part of illegal does our legislators not understand. In essence our Government whats to reward them !!! is our Government on Drugs, what the hell is wrong with them. They should be deported flat and simple according to our laws, and re-enter using the proper proceedure. Obama just ignores our laws and constitution, they are there for a reason....
