Only one week left! I rediscovered my direction today, which was wonderful :D I knew it would happen, I just didn't know when, so I'm really happy that it finally happened, yay. I don't know absolutely every little thing that's going to happen, but I'm just pleased to have the path laid out before me again.

Cole could not breathe, Kristiana's hand had cut off the flow of air down to his lungs and he came dangerously close to choking as he struggled to fill his lungs. His legs kicked awkwardly, and above his head his hands had balled into fists, arms pulled down against the chains holding him up. His senses clouded and he actually choked then, a harsh, tripping sound in the back of his mouth.
"Stop!" Elsabeth's shout from across the room broke the tense silence and the rattle of chain as she fought to move to her packmate's aid was loud against the hard floor. "Stop it!"
"Why?" Kristiana ground out between gritted teeth.
Cole hung there, fighting and failing to breathe, feeling the blackness close in against the walls of his awareness, creeping ever closer and with increasing speed and strength. Kristiana could kill him as he hung there, powerless to stop her; she could choke the life out of him and put him down once and for all and there was nothing he could to stop her. It was such a pitiful way to die, such a pathetic end that the mere prospect terrified Cole, enraged the wolf in him.
"His parents," Elsabeth all but gasped, still fighting to rise and go to Cole's aid.
Cole tried to summon his voice to stop his companion, to command her to keep quiet, but Kristiana's choking hand silenced him with maddening ease. He could not stop Elsabeth from revealing what she said next.
"They are the Betas." Elsabeth sounded out of breath, as though she had run for miles without rest, her panic thinning her voice. "They would not leave him here."
Enough of the pressure lifted from around his throat for Cole to suddenly suck in air and it was all he could do not to cough and retch against the powerful onslaught as it struck his lungs, his chest burning with enough force for tears to sting his eyes as they opened enough for him to see Kristiana's face, her smile and the knowing gleam in her gaze.

:O Trouble afoot! Evil cackle goes here. Everybody loves to be cruel to their characters, you can't deny it. Ummmm yes, that's all I've got for today. Let me know how you're getting on, everyone! And until tomorrow, take care! HEARTS!
I'm so awful to him, I feel bad. But in his future he gets a lot of good stuff so yay? :D? We need balance!
Aww, thanks :D It makes me so happy to hear you say that!
Oooh, let me know how you get on! GOOD LUCK, HON! <3

Aw, poor Cole. Brilliant idea, setting the mansion on fire in daylight. I love Kristiana's reactions. =D
I'm almost at 36k, hope to be way past that in an hour or so.
