@ENsaxist Whatever, the low B barely comes out similar to using a guitar pickup on a bass, no bottom.

@afterthefox7 5 strings in general? Because I was thinking about building a 5 with a high C instead of a low B... more useful for improvisation.

Audere works great on 4 string basses. Do Not Use On 5 String or deeper sounding basses.

Getting ready to purchase my 3rd set of Nordstrands. My favorites are the NJ4 70's winds. I preferred the sound of a sadowsky preamp but it doesn't fit in every jazz bass like the Audere, and you cannot beat Dave's technical support @ audere. Thumbs up for a GREAT jazz tone dude. :)
