Finale to Symphony No. 1
Kalinnikov's First Symphony was a rousing success at its premiere in Kiev in 1897. This is an orchestration for wind symphony of it's 'Finale', which provides a summation of the full symphony that is thoroughly nationalisticly Russian in character.
A SuperConductor would take it at a real tempo and not SO SLOW!

Hmm, this is pretty good,
and i agree too slow,
but who can really take this piece up to speed? its a monster piece of music, very, very difficult. especially for the upper winds.
though, in my video, i believe our clarinet soloist is a tad bit better, i believe. :p

Well it is suppose to be faster, true. But you have to play it at a speed consistent with what the band can do, NOT the conductor. But if you cant play normal tempo or close, dont try it. This piece is like a book--10 pages long and challenging. P.S.--Nice tubas

Actually its not that slow, we are doing it in youth orchestra, and we don't take it that much faster. And it is marked allegro moderato (don't argue, I have the first bassoon orchestral part infront of me)
