I always loved this song but until now I never realized how uncannily similar it is to Aerosmith's "Walk This Way", which I think predates 10cc by a couple of years.

10cc lyrics were unique. Original, funny and meaningful.
I've seen them on several occasions, Graham Gouldman wrote hits for 'The Hollies' 'Yardbirds' and 'The Hollies' Eric Stewart a former 'Mindbender' went on to collaborate with Paul McCartney. Great band with clever lyrics.
