gov. funding for news would give us one more source for information, the information the gov. wants you to hear or think
private news and local news needs to figure out a model to be profitable again and then perhaps we can put it in local and more focused sources for information, quality is important also

If anyone saw this past election, they would see real journalism is dead. And not because of lack of Gov't funding. It is an increase of bias.

We have "government intervention" of the press. It's called the First Amendment.
Govt funding for all things that seem to be unpopular and lean left. Subsidizing failure just = more expensive failure.
Because when ideas that are failed or or are unpopular are admitted in the FREE THINKING ARENA OF IDEAS. You see what succeeds and what does not.
