Major General Paul E. Mock entered service with the California Army National Guard in 1973. After serving in a number of roles, in August 2004, Major General Mock was mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom for service at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. On redeployment, MG Mock assumed command of the 63d Regional Readiness Command, Los Alamitos, California. Mock's awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters, NATO Medal, Parachute Badge, Special Forces Tab, and the Canadian Parachute Badge. In civilian life, he is retired after 25 years of service in the Los Angeles Police Department.
