NOTE! MY cam pulleys are on the wrong sides in this video.

Timing belt going back on, tightening cam pulleys, review timing belt sprocket markings.

  • hey I got the same vehicle in my garage and I removed and installed a new timing belt my headache is the tensioner I also replaced it with the spring. So according to instructions it says to turn the tensioner while it is loose a 10th of a degree and then tighten the nut for the tensioner after that it tells you to turn the crank twice and recheck timing marks for some odd reason on the left bank its always a halft a tooth even prior to removing the prev timing belt.Whats the best way to do this

  • great video!

  • If you have a manual transmission, put the car in 5th gear to loosen/torque the sprockets.

  • That looks like a turbo Z unless the alternator is re-located to the passenger side.
