I'm a Sunni Persian, and I'm ashamed of the Shia practices.
Our Iranian nation were all moderate Sunnis before the Safavids invade and massacred Iranians to force them convert to Shiasm and introduced all these khorafat.
We also love ahlul bayt, but we don't have any of these pratices of Ashura.
Islam is not only about mad love to ahlul bayt. Islam is more than that.
What have Iran achieved during Shia period? NOTHING!
Where as Iran achieved the most during Sunni period, the golden era.
