Four generations of the Duncan family have developed and operated this mill over the last 200 years. It hasn't changed much since its glory days in the first half of the 20th century, when they were making fireside brushes, bungs for herring barrels, spurtles, rolling pins etc en masse. Over the years, maintenance has been done but the machinery has remained the same. I visited it recently and it is still a unique experience, which I would describe as nothing short of "three dimensional art".
