Army officers training teenagers in military style drills, a daily one hour class, which in some schools across the United States, has long been a part of the curriculum.
U.S military is a good thing, but military isn't everybody. U.S military teaches respect, honor, career focus (think outside military career wise), & economy what to do with your money.
U.S military isn't "hateful", only ignorant people would make that statement.
your life is worth so much more than what these hateful recruiters tell you. stop and think about it. please. if you want to become strong, join a martial art club or a gym. forget what the commercials tell you. you are strong.
but look at it this way, would you rather die in a shoot out for drugs and become another statistic, or die for your country and fellow countrymen? and have a day dedicated to you every year in US, Britain, Canada and all the other western countries? die for drugs or die with honor.
I think the reporter is confused. This is JROTC. It's like a club. It has nothing to do with "joining" the military. It's been around for a hundred years. They have this in England and Canada and Australia. The journalist did a poor job with this story.
