How I love Kim!

It's a Vox Mark XII - a guitar I've always coveted myself.
I saw these guys on their next UK tour after this one, playing all of EVOL and Sister and it remains one of the greatest gigs I've ever been to. At that time they were the best band in the world.
This has always been my favourite song of theirs and this is a great version of it, when they were absolutely at the top of their game.
Thanks so much to whoever had the foresight to film this and share it with us all!

what kind of guitar is lee playing? anyone know?
-
This is a perfect, sublime and brutal sound... Viva Sonic Youth!
-
evol has the best memories with me but i like sister / daydream nation best
-
evol is the best album ever
I saw them do this opening for Neil Young in MAINE. The mountain men howled for their blood and the Youth just got louder and crazier - it was a moment I'll never forget...

Huh - I've got a 12 string electric (Teisco, Japanese, 60s) with a Bigsby whammy bar. You don't see whammy bars on 12 strings much, for some reason...will have to write a song on it with a title like "Kim, Thurston, and Me." ;)
Way cool song, I bought the Starpower single about 20 years ago, fascinating music they make.
