  • im going to say it and some people arent going to agree, and dont get me a wrong because i am a huge fan of the beatles and lennon, mccarthy etc but i think the kinks ray and pete are more influential band, ray davies never got to the real super stardom of lennon or mccarthy maybe that was his way and i think it may well have been the way he wanted it....look at his songs what he wrote but more importanly sit down sit down and listen to the likes of got me,sunny afternoon, lola, waterloo,

  • Simply brilliant. I had no idea that Ray played Glastonbury. The coverage that I typically see in the US always focuses on the "flavor of the month" artists that perform there. Great to see the folks singing along and showing their appreciation.

  • Thanks uploader, an excellent video, very emotional. Ray is an amazing artist and his legacy of songs will live on forever.

  • extraordinary beautiful tracks from the TRUE CREATORS of modern heavy rock

  • After much careful thought and discussion...I can only opine that The Kinks are the best band.

  • @kevin708

I still say the whole Kinks vs. Beatles discussion is a "Great Apples" vs. "Great Oranges" argument. We can just fell lucky to listen to both whenever we want to.

  • Tears flow down my face watching this video.

  • Dear Ray, Thank you for the moving and inspirational tribute to Pete. Your lyrics are always beautiful and evocative.

  • You know how Trent Reznor's "Hurt" became Johnny Cash's when he did that video? This is like that. "Days" is now Pete Quaife's. BUT... it also belongs to those of us who see something personal for ourselves in it. Wonderful song, that. And I only just discovered it.

  • @onjo12345 Go sit down and listen to A Day In The Life,Hey Jude,Help,The Ballad of John on Yoko,Lucy In The SKy with Diamonds...... The kinks were good, great even, but not a patch on the Beatles
