@DanceMyStyle Good to know :) I still maintain that his tempo is a bit bright (having played the Suite with orchestra and listened to five or six commercial recordings. None of which are near this speed...and not because the orchestras can't play it this fast, but because this tempo does not enhance the character of the music -- unless he intended it to feel more like a joke than a beautiful waltz). Anyway, his speed wouldn't bother me as much if he actually phrased with more care/interest.

It doesn't matter what tempo it is, as long as it fits the artist, occasion, and mood.
Richard O'Neill is just interpreting his piece as a light yet melancholic waltz, which isn't wrong.
I think this is actually one of the better interpretations I've heard of this song.
The notes are played to go with the tempo, which is what makes it actually good.
