@aprilglaspieable Agreed, but from what I read back in the 80s, Ray Davies wanted to seriously nest and had wanted to have Chryssie be a traditional home-bound English housewife like his mom, and she couldn't deal with that. She loved having the kid, but wasn't so hot on becoming like Ray's mother. She had to go on being Chryssie Hynde, doing things her way. But how she got together with the totally ordinary Simple Minds guy is kind of a wonder. Maybe she just wanted another kid.

With her affinity for his brilliant songs, and her badass personality, it's hard to understand how Chrissie had his kid , and dumped Ray for that twat from Simple Minds.
