Reminds me of student days in digs when TV am finished and Anglia started up at about 9-20. fabulou memories. I loved it. Not 'self-serving' not 'dated' just bloody brilliant. If it introduced a generation of kids to some classical music, raised their eyes from the ground for a minute, then it's ok by me! If that's the definition of dated, then give me dated every time.

It wasn't an airfix model. It was a solid silver hunting trophy.

Agree 100%. Look at what the individual companies and channels produced due to competition. Many, many happy childhood memories. Remember 'Out of Town' with Jack Hargreaves? Timeless genius. That would never be made now. Growing up in East Anglia this ident was part of my life, and a happy one.
Thanks for uploading.

Nick Hancock and Angus Deayton took the piss out of this on Room 101.
"It's interminable, it goes on FOREVER." "Is that Errol Flynn?" "If we keep it going a bit longer we won't have to give away so many prizes on Sale of the Century."

Does anyone know where I can download idents to burn to a DVD? Thanks. :)
As a kid in the early 80s repeats of any classic ITV franchised show had the regional ident i.e. 'Anglia Presents' so I was lucky to have seen these once glorious franchise idents....now all we have is utter shite...Thanks Granada-Carlton for buying up all the regionals and fucking it into cocked hat and calling it all...ITV-1...muppets.

@TheMasterNo6 I miss them too my friend. And for one of the smaller franchises, Anglia seemed to produce quite alot of decent quality networked stuff - Survival documentaries, Tales of the Unexpected and Sale of the Century to name a few.
