I had given up on knitting socks after numerous unsatisfying attempts. As fate would have it, I came across this video. I am so excited about jumping back in and giving it another try with Cat's guidance! I have ordered the book. I await with needles in hand, an open heart, and a smile on my face :)

Awesome - the only way I can describe your videos. It has become a refreshing knitter's habit - I just watch each video and am amazed at what I pick up each time - plus it's a great calming therapy for me.
Thank You, Cat - you are the best!!

OH MY GOODNESS!! I cannot believe what you've done in "engineering" perfectly-fitting (& easy) socks WITH NO STRESS! I've heard your name, of course, but for some reason never saw any of your videos. THIS engineering marvel of a sock just BLOWS ME AWAY. I love it & you for imagining it. I'm going to "one-night" your book (small town=no LYS)........just can't wait.

wow! Cat you never cease to amaze me! i watched most of this video without blinking. i have struggled so with sock knitting! heels and holes and asymmetry and bad fit. others would have given up long ago. but i KNEW there just had to be a way! it's only yarn after all. it must bend to my will.
you always share these tricks and tips that remind me of that. you are a genius! i aspire to be Insouciant with my sock knitting. can't wait to try this.

I have large feet (for a woman) and have wanted to learn how to make feminine socks to wear.
I was very pleased to discover that you're coming to Canada soon and am very much looking forward to meting you at Wool & Wicker in Steveston, BC next February!

Cat...Wow! Cannot wait to get this book. I can see the videos will be the icing on the cake. On another note, thanks again for encouraging me to attend the Sock Summit; it was truly awe-inspiring. (I have dropped the word awesome from my vocabulary..."The pizza is awesome, dude!" just doesn't do it for m -lol ). You are a gift.
It was a great pleasure to meet you in person and share some time with you. Thanks for the inspirational Chat and for this great video. I will definitely get your book and hope to promote it around. It looks very interesting and challenging. Thanks for all you do to improve our crafts.

Hi Andy- It was an enormous honor to spend time with you and all the guys at the MFKR. Your knitting is inspirational, and your crocheted hats are so stunning that I could spend days with you learning your techniques. I seriously hope you will publish.

Knittersbookshelf(dot)com will ship my books to Europe at a very reasonable shipping cost and they give great service. I believe they charge much less for shipping than Amazon.

I'll be *rushing* down to my LYS to order a copy. Cat, you've blown my mind with this one. Again. AGAIN!
Next thing I need to do is use the same technique to knit a cardigan, with afterthought sleeves. Your work is inspiration, distilled - thanks so much for sharing!

You'd have to knit the sweater sideways to insert the sleeves, because yarn unravels sideways. Although it would be interesting to try inserting sleeves horizontally.
