@drew5611 birds are not small cars. my eclipse weighed around 3000lbs. my bird is 4200 empty. but as an ex eclipse owner i do agree they are fast. no matter what muscle guys say. dollar for dollar v 8. but my 2.0 4g63t would eat fox body mustangs like nothing all day. so u r right they arent ne thing 2 shake a stick @. as far as american cars being unrefined. isn't that what muscle cars r about? raw horespower and torque?

the 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time of a 1997 Pontiac V-6 firebird.

0-60 is 7.2

1/4 mile is 15.5 (so much for low 15's)

1995 Eclipse GSX 0-60 time --6.4

1995 Eclipse GSX 1/4 mile time--- 14.9 (0.6 secs faster in 1/4 is HUGE!!)

Before you call someone an idiot, understand the argument at hand. I said what is so embarrassing is that these 4 cylinder cars are significantly faster than these V-6 camaros, fire birds and mustangs. Not one statement was made towards a V-8's performance against the 4 cylinders. Of course you will get more out of a V-8, look at how much bigger your displacement is.

@drew5611 ur a fucking idiot. i traded a 96 gsx 4 a 95 firebird formula with a 350 CI lt-1 v8 and t-56 6-speed. the clipse had 5gs invested and will not beat the bird with 700 invested. dollar for dollar v8. like someone else said u can make ne thing fast if u dump a shit ton of money into it. put all those upgrades that the eclipse had on that ls-1 bird and ull shit urself
