A quick test of the turbine so far to see how the bearings perform. There was little wind and the turbine was situated low to the ground, obstructed by buildings, hedges and trees.

  • Hi. It's funny how I never really noticed the animal noises until I watched the video back. I didn't even realise that there were sheep nearby.

  • nice windgen. im building a a vawt with a helix and was wondering what type of bearing would be the best for a vertically spinning shaft? my guess is tapered roller bearings

  • the sounds are more interesting then the video, but that's a nice windmill : D

  • very nice! mesmorizing. Just peaceful like the numerous creatures in the background making their sounds made this a nice video. I made a turbine a savonius type.
