Is it possible to convert a 2012 JEEP WRANGLER respectively their V6 pentastar engine? If so what could ve expect as far as the mpg improvement and where can we find the shops that are able to do this?
-
That's not great mileage. But I guess any improvement is a good thing with a big gas hog like that.

where is this shop located??

17 mpg? it won't self pay for 1-3 years maybe more

@cdude100 - That's correct! But, the target market is FLEET vehicles that average 7-8 MPG, travel 85 miles day and are on the road for at least 280 days a year (i.e. similar to UPS delivery fleet...) In volume the cost could come down to a point where there could be a 1-year payback for FLEET owners. It is not intended for passenger vehicles...

NO - stop trying to lie! MPG is calculated by running the engine continuously on 1 gallon of fuel. It does not mean switching the engine on and off. Prius owners lie about this. Do it in the UK and expect to be prosecuted as it is a criminal offence to lie about MPG and deliberately mislead people, it is known as fraud. You will get a hefty fine or time in prison and can be disqualified from running a company! So don't lie about MPG figures!!!!

@urbex2007 We NEVER switch the engine off, this is an electrical assist, so the gas engine is always running (or the EMIS system won't work at all. Real world resultscan be found at hrivnak.com. He has a vehicle that weighs ~6000 lbs. He could only fit the TransWarP 7 in his vehicle. A TransWarP 9 develops almost twice the torque as the 7! His results are ~15% savings. His savings could be about 5% greater if EMIS worked with cold and warm idle - for safety, it only works with warm idle.

can this work on a '89 mercedes 200e running on a 102 engine

Theoretically it can work, however you must have space for the electric motor in the drive tunnel (smallest motor is 7.25" diameter. Also, the ROI will not be very good as EMIS was intended for vehicles that get 6-8 MPG. In these vehicles the ROI can be 2 years or less depending upon the miles driven. In vehicles that get 12-16 MPG the ROI would be about double - again depending upon the miles driven. - George
