I have the 530's. Possibly the best earphones of all time.

anyone know when the SE535s are comin out?

I found a place that sells it for US$394 for the SE530s. Gonna get mine next month! Can't wait.

Would these be worth spending $150 on brand new?

I just bought some unopened SE530s off eBay for 264 with 2 day shipping. Popped them open to have a peek inside, did some comparison photos to high resolution images other users took too. It's the real thing, just gotta be careful who you buy from.

But you can go wrong ordering off ebay, dudes asking for some knockoffs

I solve this first issue buy using an armband to house my ipod and the short cable while I workout. Second issue is about the infamous cable issues that the SE530 early models suffered from. Some certain people produced an oil on their skin that interacted badly with the chords making them brittle and cracking. This issue was solved around 2008 by Shure. So a newer batch will be good and also you probably dont produce this oil so maybe it doesn't matter. Other than that, BUY THEM!

They are so comfortable that you wont even notice they are in your ears while you exercise. Before you buy them there are two things you should know. The Se530 have a little added weight mid chest because the chord is actually 2 connections, a very short cable which goes mid chest , then you attach one of two extender cables provided, one is about 3 feet long and the other is longer. Therefore it adds a little extra weight which might tug on your ears a bit while you run.

was wondering if u think I could exercise with the 530's?? I finally got the money for them and need an upgrade from my sennheiser's

does the cable tear for yours? I'm thinking of getting a pair but i know a lot of people who have the cable tearing in the area where the wire goes over the ears.
how is the quallity and noize isolation, what type of music are these good for

i use them for mostly heavy metal music and some techno/trance/electronica type music. sound is excellent...
its a real shame that i only have an iPod to listen to, cuz they have rly the most horrible sound quality on any MP3 players I've listened to..

hey, would you say the iPod is better quality then say for instance, the Mobile phone Nokia n95 8gb?
because i use that phone for my mp3 player at the moment, and the quality is pretty good.
but i bought an ipod, and am just wondering if its going to sound worse hmm. thanks

anything is better than an iPod in terms of sound quality. iPods have one of the most mediocre sound in my opinion.
