it's good that modern singers,males & females (lots of females, both professional & amateur, also sing this song), sing samouth's songs. by doin' so they demonstrate their appreciation 4 his music, pay homage 2 him, & contribute 2 the keepin' of his memories alive.
so far as i know, this version is 1 of the best among the modern male versions, & the best modern female version is that of meas sok sophea. they're 2nd only 2 samouth's version.

They both are good singers but Noy Vanneth has a slight deeper voice than him...just my opion.
