Nick was 17 years old when this happened, so the people who think he should still be in jail are retarded. He got 8 months in a ADULT prison, the only special treatment he got was being apart from the other prisoners for safety reasons. 8 months seems a fair amount of time to me. Anyway, it's not like he intentionally killed his friend. His friend is not an innocent bystander in this.. he voluntarily got in the car knowing Nick was drunk AND didn't put his seatbelt on. His own fault.

oh he fucked up it's not like he meant to fuck his friends life up. This is what happens when you race cars on the street and I am sure the passenger that got jacked up did not tell Nick to stop racing he was probably like most teenagers in this situation yelling woooohooo right before a smash that ends life as you know it.
