  • What I really find amazing is no matter how fast or slow he plays, Shawn always has a feel for the song he's doing. He doesn't play fast just to play fast. It's all tied together so perfectly.

  • this is coming from someone who knew shawn well . he didnt think of himself as great . he was absolutely the most humble , modest person i have ever known. he considered piano his main instrument not guitar and i know people that met him and spoke at length and he never even told them he played music . i feel honored to have known him as a friend and musician and have always said the world would not begin to understand shawn til long after he had left our world Kevyn Williams

  • Lane is ................ oh love him !

  • @rawzone1

    Beautifully stated.

Lane was an ET...there's simply no other logical explanation to describe this force of nature.

Lane is light years above and beyond just shred. His musicianship and artistry are unmatched on the electric Geetar.

  • incredible!

  • I love shawn lane! A lot of shredders seem to shred because they can, its like an act. Shawn seems to shred because its his style and he really feels it. Thats my take at least

  • big guys like shawn and warren haynes just tend to have so much soul in their playing

  • No other guitar player's brain could produce synapses that would keep up with the rapidly-fired neurons that only Shawn Lanes mind could transmit ~ WE LOVE HIM ~

  • @duendeflamenco87 No worries thank's Man Rock on :)

  • @dfguitarblues when i started playing i liked shred, and now i dont. But there you have (had) Lane, Steve Morse, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, and many other guitar players, great combinations between technique and true MUSIC. Well, thats my opinion, i agree, Gilmore is extremely soulful. Cheers bro

  • @duendeflamenco87 i guess i was wrong i thought Batio was reconised as the worlds best altho he isnt my cup of tea at all , like you said no soul (i prefer Dave Gilmore style or Adam Jones) , Peace Man
