Oh, and by the way, Dave Letterman's "How the ---- did I get a show" comment was classic too.

We used to have WCPO Channel 9 from where I live (Morehead Kentucky), which was the only Cincinnatti Station we had, along with WSAZ Channel 3 in Huntington, as well as, WLEX 18, WKYT 27, and WTVQ 36 (all of them Lexington Kentucky Stations)

Scripps also leverage Phoenix FOX affiliate to become ABC and Baltimore NBC station to become ABC as well too...

Interesting Opening!! The WCPO Television promotional clip from 1993 was useful and practical. A Respectable 4!! Useful But Somewhat Bland!! This video clip would have earned a 5 rating if David Letterman had his haircut -- or had his head shaved bald -- for his commencing of "Late Night With David Letterman" on CBS Television in 1993. David Letterman is still a dickbrain on television.

ABC came to WCPO because of a deal that ABC made with Scripps to ensure that ABC stayed on WEWS in Cleveland and WXYZ in Detroit. This was because of the Fox/New world deal in 1994 CBS, after loosing their two affiliates in Detroit and Cleveland, was trying to get these two stations because the only other option in these markets were UHF stations. however ABC made a deal with scripps to affiliate in smaller markets to smaller scripps owned station in order to keep those two channels w/ ABC
When did WCPO switch from CBS to ABC? And what station was ABC at that time? Was it WKRC 12?

June of 1996. Yes, WKRC. By the way, WCPO was ABC and WKRC was CBS until 1961 when a network swap happened. The swap back in 1996 was due to ownership changes.
