It is "Log Off" from the Avalon Ost.
That movie was... interesting. It was very depressing and definitely went style over substance. Symbolism, vague plot bordering on incomprehensible and strange art-style.
Yet, I think they went more for setting a certain atmosphere and at that, they certainly succeeded. Kinda reminds me of Stalker (Roadside Picnic), uses even some similar visual style.

Ghost in the Shell was definitely my favorite anime series, HAD NO IDEA that this was from that director! (slaps self in face) this is where i fell in love with Wladyslaw Kuwalski ^_^ this chick's AWESOME!

Title is in English, director is Japanese, trailer and the film (original version) is in Polish.
