Zenith Tube Radio Console Shortwave 1941 Model A248739

Here is a fully restored 1941 Zenith Tube Radio Shortwave. This was covered in 50 years of dust, chipping and warping and after three months and layers of wax, stain and a new beltl it is now a living room piece from a lost era. This was called a long distance radio and you will see why when you see the video. It has a 12 inch speaker that puts out a bold sound and an awesome internal anterna. Please note that this is not the robot dial as I stated in the video.

mine worked, but I brought it to a radio repair guy who replaced the tuning belt and a few tubes. The owners manual can be purchased online.

Not sure how to instant message here. This came from the dusty basement of an Antique store in Reno. I bought it for $75. I did a light sand, wax and oil. I also wood glued any weak spots and then sanded, waxed and oiled again. It was in the garage forabout three months and the layers of restoration brought it back to life. I tbrought it to a Radio Repair shop in Reno whohad been in business for 54 years and he replaced the tuning belt, some tubes and wires. It is not robotdial as I stated

My parents have this exact same radio at their house that belonged to my Great Grandparents. Did you have to do any electrical work on it? I'd love to get their's working again. Any info is helpful. Thanks!
