@mrmann43 actually it was "perfected"... well perfected is probably the wrong word since that takes some time in the field but it was ready to be deployed to the german armed forces

@4HeartsChelsea no need to extract the bullet which both allows for higher firing rates and a cleaner action (no dirt can come in through the breech)
also the weight and cost of the ammo is reduced significantly
