This video will be the absolute video to watch if you want to get info on the SM Auditions.

How to Apply:

Email Application: 2009sm@smtown.com
(We will send a confirmation receipt of the time/place to the indicated e-mail address).

Direct Registration:
Applications may register once they arrive at the audition location.
(Applications who apply with email with have priority then applicants who apply at the audition location).


WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS:

Singers will be asked to sing acapella and without an MR and a microphone. Cover songs and original songs are allowed.

Dancers will be asked to dance freestyle. CD is to be brought by each individual applicant.

Actors/Actresses will be asked to do impromptu acting. Scripts/monologues are to be memorized and be brought by each individual applicant.

Models (Fashion, Commercial) will be asked to pose.

Composers/Lyricists will be asked to submit original CDs or musical scores.

i couldn't help but noticed that there are meanly asains, do you have to be asain to audtion? cause i am white skined and half mexican (bascially no asain in me at all)

and do you have to know korean?

and my friend wants to do it to but shes black skined,

@NaomeaStarlight Hey :) I AM FULL AMERICAN no korean japanese etc. But can I still audition? Will it limit my chanes of getting in? Why or why not? Also can I sing an English song and what if you dont know ANY korean o;? Plz help me thank you :)

I did audition and i'm going to korea for the third round.

Okay, so SM is 80% looks, 20% talent. Not gonna lie, it sucks.

They probably will cut your singing off, but you do your dancing in a GROUP at first

- No, you do not have to speak korean, but some useful phrases are, Annyeonghaseyo=hello

Mannaseo Bangapseumnida= pleased to meet you.

Watch some korean shows to get the accent down.

They probably won' accept you unless you are asian :(
