During the 1977 season at halftime during games on CBS, they had segments where Phyllis George introduced a video montage of a football player set to music.
During the 6th week of the season (October 23, 1977) this segment featuring Bert Jones and Johnny Unitas was shown as the music of Lou Rawls was played. The song is titled, "Someday You'll Be Old." I just thought it was neat. I wish I could get the audio to sync with the video.
Also, during the 13th week of the season, Terry Bradshaw was featured while "That's Life" by Frank Sinatra was performed.
Enjoy!
I remember Bert Jones. Many NFL experts, including Belichik, will say Jones may have had the strongest arm they'd ever seen of any NFL QB. He was John Elway before John Elway.

Bert Jones was my favorite player growing up. I still have a #7 Colts jersey that I got for Christmas in 4th grade. He was so good and if injuries hadn't taken their toll he could have been one of the best of all time. MVP in 1976 I believe.

Oh, I remember that MASH episode--the murder mystery referenced in the commerical for MASH is called "The Rooster Crowed at Midnight." :) As for Bert Jones, he had a much stronger arm that Johnny U, but Johnny won so many playoff games, whereas Bert was 0-3.

Bert Jones was an excellent QB for a few seasons but you don't replace Johnny Unitas
