  • One of the best songs ever done and one of the saddest a brilliant recording by Waylon as usual

  • Written by Lee Fry. Lee's in bad shape right now, in hospital. We wish him comfort and progress.

  • This was the 1st time I heard Waylon sing this song. I used to have the Charley Pride version on LP. Both are great. What a big voice. These new clowns don't compare at all do they? Thanks for posting

  • One of my favorites! Rings true...

  • great channel - well done

  • Charley Pride did a beautiful version too. It was on the album"She's just an old love turned memory" Now it's on " 20 classics" The baritone of his voice , really makes this song perfect.

  • @teddie488 I agree, I love all the songs that reckless posts and the ones you post as well teddie. Waylon is my hero.

  • wow havent heard this in forever ty for this all my cds were stolen out of my car a few years back and without sometimes you forget some of the best songs that were wrapped up in all those

  • I discovered this song on Pandora. What a great Waylon tune.

  • Waylons albums in the mid 70ties were just in class by them self. Honky Tonk Heroes, This Time, Dreaming my Dreams, and this one, are superb.
