and the Americans in all their wisdom , still couldn't master bombing targets at night, that was left to the good ole Royal Air Force.

oh and just incase anybody had forgotten at how good the british forces were during the War, the RAF held off superior german air force...the battle of britain,
oh and the british army kicked Rommels arse in the desert, the royal Navy captured the very first enigma machine....not as hollywood would have you believe , the U.S navy.

I watched a doc. where uber-right wing, piggy-faced, tax dodging (now jailbird) Vietnam fighter "ace" Randy Cunningham said "The British losses to Germans in the air were staggering, and it was only when the US entered the war with high tech planes that the tables turned." ..umm that'd be the P-51 Mustang then, build-commissioned & even named by the British, and eventually given the RR Merlin engine that made it so great..and BTW the Lancaster carried a much bigger payload than their B-17 bomber

the US did provide the boost to end the war quicker, but statistically, Germany wasted 3/4 of its forces fighting Russians, and was struggling to find the fuel to keep its war machines going... they were losing quickly. Ultimately, many Americans refuse to be told by foreigners that their role in WW2 was self-exaggerated. they will only listen to themselves, and no American is going to downplay Americas involvement to a more realistic level, becuase it doesn't sounds as good.

truth most Americans dont ever know that fact. they genuinely DO think that they saved the day, when its comes to ww2. its reinforced upon them in school, word of mouth, and in their education system. dont get me wrong, they certainly did provide a great deal of war resources that sped the allied victory, but it wasnt free. The Bases for Battleship program was a rip off, so were the other "lend-lease" programs aimed at paying the states back.

Ctiller89 is just an uneducated moron fed on US propaganda, what do U expect? Americans only HELPED in making the war shorter. Russians would won with or without their help. That's a fact American people eagerly try to forget.

as much as i enjoyed the double deckers racing ... it was the fly-in trio of 2 seat Spitfires that was awesome ... just fabulous!
