5,6,7,8, and 9 what happened to you FINAL FANTASY? I remember being so enthralled with the captivating tales of chivalry, sorrow, joy, and how great heros overcame all obstacles in there path. Ever since FF9 I just haven't cared as deeply for the characters, it seems to me that the great days of FF are gone, given way to amped up graphics and a half hearted storyline....just my thoughts...

I feel the same disconnect as you. But, I think for me it because I am older. I don't feel the same emotional connections as I did with games when I was growing up. The concept isn't fresh anymore. I seem to get more satisfaction in replaying these older games, compared to the new releases. Sigh well it was nice while it lasted though.

Um aranexocist, ff6,7,8 was where they hit their peak. Thats the general concensus.
