  • @vainaina He does'nt have an accent cos he speaks queens English ,we Kenyans have accents cos if u were in UK or USA , nobody would comprehend what your saying ! So when Kenyans from the diaspora come back home , quit bashing on them if they speak with UK or USA accent ,cos they only tryin to fit in those countries !

  • @roughko: Exactly! You are point on! Robert like most of us in the diaspora, has no choice but to adopt to the accents/lifestyles of the west so as to fit in or at the very least, be understood! People just need to eave him alone...

  • I lived in Kenya for more than 8 years, but this is the first time I've seen a man wearing a scarve! The accent is fine if he spoke just spoke normal, but most reporters in kenya have that irritating way of speaking

  • @scratchaholiks Yea, Uhuru went to Umass in Ma [neck of my woods],a college with students from the whole universe, so he didn't have to adapt to the yankee kinda English besides he was here for less than 3yrs spending his vacations home. With that said, I have seen Kenyans here who've been here 20yrs and still shrabb ! Honestly, life ain't a bed of roses for em when interacting with locals be it @ work or socially. They get used to hearing this...."Sorry,I didn't understand what you're saying" !

  • @scratchaholiks Come to USA with that Kenyan accent and see how hard it will be for folks here to comprehend what ya saying. It's either gonna be you adopt the yankee English or hard life for you ,one or the other .

  • @wainaina get a a life, everyone has an accent, it just depends on who is listening. Move around a bit.

  • @surambaya wacha uongo; he grew up in South C and he did leave Kenya to study in the UK, moron!

  • @scratchaholiks - Maybe. And in these times, "sleeping your way to the top" does not necessarily apply to women alone. That said, I think Robert is the embodiment of a hardworking individual who found a spot that fitted him perfectly and he went for it. I think he deserves some credit.

  • @nashtism - Woooiiieee - give the man a break. He is an acquired taste, very much like Jeff Koinange.... I could never understand when I was growing up, why his face seemed to contort into all sorts of different shapes until I realized that he wanted to get the message across clearly. BTW - you should watch him on the K24 Channel - he is still hilarious as ever.

  • @surambaya Probably how he ended up at NTV.... "Friends in high places" eh..

  • @scratchaholiks - Ati and the dude went to Amherst. Lakini he got spoiled hanging out at Horseman Inn huko in the rich peoples' neighborhood playing pool with akina Gideon Moi.
