THE BUNNY HOP - VINTAGE NOVELTY RECORD / There is a version that lacks the sweeping lines, which was seen on season 3 episodes of Barney & Friends

Ha! Made me think of that other top ten hit from around the same time: "The Whoopee Cushion Serenade" by none other than Freddie Flatulence & his Five Hot Toots! It was a GAS, daddy-o! In the words of the immortal Bard, "A fart by any other name would smell as gnarly!". If only such dedication would go into other fields; for instance, NASA could send up astronauts who were also proctologists. Then they'd finally be able to find out if there really are rings around Uranus!

@fannynoise No, I meant the lead guitar solo beginning at 0:45. I would love to know who the personnel on this recording session were. The lead guitar sounds are extremely reminiscent (not the scent of burrito gas!) of JG's very early electric guitar style c. 1965. Tha's all I'm sayin... Thanks for posting it. I enjoyed the arrangement.

is there anyway you can download this song??
You can't fool me. Jerry Garcia recorded that lead solo!

Sounds like this was recorded about the time the Twist was popular, in the early '60s, along with a whole lot of other dance songs.

@hebneh The Bunny Hop goes back to 1952. This particular recording could date 3 or 4 years later, but most likely precedes The Twist.
