well give me their entire dialogue on what they said about him. im sure there were ALOT of non christians who celebrate christians. how many do you think are lending credibility to jesus being born, wrong day btw, by celebrating xmas.

This whole point, where they are talking about God being evil like creating darkness. He created satan as lucifer, a beautiful angel. But God does not control and lucifer decided to turn dark himself.ALL the evil we see on the earth today is from the DEVIL. Jesus came to destroy the work that the devil has done. The reason there is so much doubt is that people who claim the name of Christ have been hypocritical, weak, cowardly, lacking in power. That is not what Jesus was like.

@VanessaTexasGal Of course what they also don't understand is learning the bible is absurd is the beginning, the next step is realizing that a lot of the stuff in the bible was to explain things men could not understand 3000 years ago. Science has progressed to the point of not needing an invisible intangible flying man to explain weather and earth quakes and such. Bronze age myth silly, why worship biblical god why not Zeus or Ra, or Odin they are way cooler then KJV god anyway. LOL

@VanessaTexasGal What is sad is that christians don't even realize how bad the OT is and when they do read it they excuse as well that was in the OT , jesus came to abolish those laws, then in the same breath they quote the 10 commandments, hello you just said those were abolished. But even if what they said made sense, would you let a reformed child rapist watch your children....I am proud to say I am way more moral by standards of common decency then the Biblical god.

@robtay1963 I agree. the thing is, saying that something is right just because god said so, makes morality completely arbitrary. It means that if god was to say "murder is good" then it would be ok to kill people. Morality is there for a reason. it's a tool we use to be able to live together in a society and cooperate, so that I can reach my goals, while not interfering with yours

What I can not comprehend is how anyone can read the OT and no realize that we are already far more moral then this pretend bronze age, power hungry, genocidal, bigoted, women hating, megalomaniac. I get my morals from living in a peace loving society, and being taught love and compassion by my parents. Any one who gets there morals from the god of the bible is to me a scary person. Acts 5:1- 11, is sick and its in the NT, not to mention human sacrifice, how sick

@robtay1963 the way I see it, what first happens when one becomes an atheist (at least when I became one), is that we do kinda fall into a period of moral nihilism. For me, becomming an atheist was a process of re-evaluating my morals, values etc...

morality is a choice, it does not matter weather you have a god or not, to get along and remain free in a civilized society you must not steal, kill , rape and otherwise cause unrest. You do not need a god to tell you those things are wrong, and you love those around you with whom you act daily, family, close friends who are there when you need someone, again no god needed to feel love.
