  • Yes you must use pans that a magnet will attract (stick) to. My cooktop is a hybrid which has half conventional and half induction so I didn't have to git rid of my old pans. After having induction for over a year now I wish I had gotten a full induction cooktop. I may sell this one and buy one since cooking on an induction top is more efficient than gas or conventional electric.

  • This was a new kitchen remodel and the backsplash hadn't been sealed yet. Since it was stone and not tile I didn't want to risk staining it.

  • I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" but if you leave that towel on long in enough, it will still combust. The residual heat from the pan still can get hot enough to catch clothe on fire. 20 minutes into it, you''ll probably notice browing on the towel. 45 minutes smoke. 1 hour it might catch fire. Though your demo is cool.

  • @tsliao This is correct. If the pan can fry bacon it will eventually "fry" the towel. I guess I should have added a comment as the demo was suppose to show how much safer these cooktops are with children in the house verses conventional cooktops.

  • @puntacoco I have the Bosch model for induction cooktop, man I just love these stoves, they are awesome.

Do you have your heat set on 6? usually 5 or 6 is like perfect for pretty much any kind of meat, haven't tried chicken yet. LOL I usually set mine to 5.5 or 6 for a nice sirloin steak.

  • @Gypscrew I can't say enough good things about induction cooking. Once you get used to the instant heat there's nothing better to cook with. I notice that 6 is my best setting for most cooking.

  • @Normanrs2004 You don't have to worry about metal in ring and watch. Because induction doesn't react to (ferrous)metal that is smaller than a small pot size.

  • sick baconflip, bro

  • That's pretty amazing!

    I want one.

  • I would imagine that it's not a good idea to wear a metal watch while cooking with an induction stove? (Probably too far away from the burner, but funny thought!)

  • @nusld Take a magnet with you when you buy pans. If the magnet sticks to it, it will work. Magnet don't stick to it, that pan will not work with induction.

  • smeone is playing the sims in the background lol

  • Hi do i need to use a cooking pan especially used only for induction cooker?I saw that there are cooking pan only for induction cooker use in the shops.

  • This is great. I have today had my Induction Cooker installed but I was not entirely sure how well it would work. After watching this video, I have tried mine out and it's truly great. What a wonderful invention!!

  • nice.
