Jimmy Buffett - Makin' Music For Money (Tribute).wmv

This video is a tribute to the numerous talented musicians on YouTube. Some may hope a producer may hear them and offer a recording deal, but many don't want fame or expect to make lots of money but are motivated by their love of music. Some write their own music and all they desire is to share the music from their hearts with friends and people who recognize and appreciate their wonderful gift. I was able to feature just a few of these talented YouTube friends in my video, but have great admiration for many. I hope you take time to visit their channels and enjoy their music as much as I do.

"Makin' Music For Money" is a song about the art vs business.

Although it's ironic, in this song Jimmy Buffett sings about not wanting to get into music to make money, "I won't make my music for
money. I'm going to make my music for me."

He sings; "Well now I went up to the country
and I'll tell you all about the scene
I found a place with much charm and much grace
that wasn't touched by the music machine

Well, the people were havin' a good time
makin' music all day long
and nobody cared if they ever got paid
one penny for playin' a song
