first of all... im not saying dont try it that is your choice, i could care less if someone tried hacking my machine i have them insured :)

The taped dollar works. He did it wrong though.

Use packing tape since it's about the same width of a dollar. Make 2 pieces of tape about 3ft long. Tape them at the very end of the dollar. Tape one on top ad the other on the bottom and make sure the tape and money is smooth. That's all you gotta do and it does work on every machine I've tried it on.

you are correct, the whole series was on how "hacking" is bs you are flat out stealing and hell... why not make it easy... most machine are not tethered to the ground so if you have a 800 pound + wheelchair van around just take the whole damn machine... then you will have all the time in the world to work on drilling that lock and the rivets in the machine id plate

The 'key' seems to be to get yourself a key, or a Dewalt cordless drill with a half inch metal cutting bit. After you've disabled all security cams in the vicinity.

We put a b/w xerox 2-sided $1 bill (On 20-lb plain white paper) in there and it worked, over and over! We never imagined it would, and contacted the owner of the machine....ooops.

i heard about guys in my town, well one of them broke down and walked into a dr. pepper plant to use a phone, nobody around so he stole a key ring off of the wall that opened ALL soda machines of that type, so for 10 years he and his "affiliates" would go on rounds every so many nights collecting money, he made it so long because nobody ever reported it they figured employees were stealing the money, he finally got caught because somebody "told" on him

This does work. you have done a poor taping job. do not use scotch tape. take boxing tape that is a few inches wide. it works, i have done it.
