why discriminate us? stop the controversy and just accept who and how we are. We might not be the best example in many places, but putting us apart is unnecessary.
Wish we all could just live without racism and just be happy with what we have.
We all learn from everyone & we're all mixed cultures.
I want to learn Spanish but find it very difficult so, I can see how many PRs do not embrace English. Americans think everyone wants to speak English. Many ricans feel that Spanish is more than enough, and they are right! Not everyone wants to move to the English speaking States. In any language, you must have the "want to" before you can effectively embrace it. Many do not "want to" and for good reasons. Those born in the States had it easy, for they were raised speaking both languages.
I have to disagree. I know lots of puertoricans who speak english, being raised onthe island who speak perfectly well. While other puertoricans who live in the states just make us look bad
Most puertoricans do have an accent when they speak English because they're not used to speaking it. I'm a teacher here and I love it when the students try to speak it. For most puertoricans, English is very difficult. Most people hate it. I'm not sure why.
