Embraer 190, L1 door, escape slide deployment at Air Canada Vancouver hangar 0300 HRS April 08th 2010. Slide deployed as part of a regular maintenance visit. Don't worry slide was replaced with new one.

  • @NicolasRubio O it looks Pathetic in that video I would be worried if it was like that all the time! What airline you flying for?

  • @Aviationnation10 In this case, the door was opened in "Emergency" mode, which means that it is actually opened by a pneumatic actuator (2200-2500psi) and not manually. That's why it opens so violently and quickly, and the door shakes. When in "Normal" mode, the door is quite heavy and very well built. I know this because I am a flight attendant and I fly the E-190.

  • @freetofly10 I've heard bad stuff about the E-190, apparently jetBlue is having alot of trouble keeping their's running efficiently.

  • @houstontexan36 I've opened and closed these doors at the gate and everytime I was afraid I was going to break them off! They're really flimsy!
