@binstence Thank you for the Dionne support really. But I am unsure if you know what "belting" means in singing but Dionne is not atypical of such (singing by deep, strong breaths from the diaphragm "i.e. the belt area"). The reason she transenced to pop and R&B audiences was that simple, smooth yet strong vocals she had. A belter would be Aretha. That is why I love Dionne :)

Technically one of the best female vocalists of all time. She never sings anything the same anytime she sings it. She uses alternate notes and rhythms and it never gets old. She also has that beautiful God given voice with a huge set of lungs. She used to have such a range. I think she quit smoking so maybe she will get back the way she was.
