A panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities for human rights in the 21st century.

Panel members include Professor George Williams AO (Anthony Mason Professor and Foundation Director of the Gilbert and Tobin Centre of Public law at UNSW and Constitutional Lawyer), Graeme Innes AM (Disability Discrimination Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission), Stephen Keim SC (Barrister and President of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights) and Widney Brown (Senior Director of International Law and Policy, International Secretariat Amnesty International). Chaired by Claire Mallinson (National Director of Amnesty International Australia).

======================================

Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 3 million people working to defend human rights and dignity. In 2011 we celebrated our 50th year. On 6 -- 8 October 2011, we drew on that fifty years of experience to hold our biggest ever Human Rights Conference at Royal on the Park in Brisbane, Queensland.

We assembled an impressive array of human rights defenders, experts and commentators to lead a series of lectures, discussions and workshops over three days -- all focused around the conference theme of 'Change the World'.
