Ever wonder why the Alex Kidd franchise disappeared?

While this wasn't the last Alex Kidd game released, it was certainly the only direct sequel in the franchise and the fate of the series lies on its shoulders. This is mostly an addendum to my 2008 Alex Kidd in Miracle World review. Going over of the new features and whether they add or detract from the gameplay.

The story is inconsequential for this kind of game and Bruce Lee training has been taken by the Kidd.

How much can three years do to a franchise. I run through it here. If you ever played the new SEGA superstars games and wondered "Who the hell is that douche with the annoying voice?" well, here he is.

The other guy is Alex Kidd.

  • This game is so unfair with one hit kills but its just so addictive! Cheers for the upload!

  • SEGA ought to hire TREASURE to develop a new ALEX Kidd Adventure. I wouldn't mind the Genken if it was incorperated into combat. Like if you loose, the enemy attacks you with normal attacks, but if you beat him, he gets agree and attacks more furiously with steam busting out his ears and everything. However, if you defeat him while he's angry, you knock Gold out his pockets

  • Alex Kidd...He looks kinda like an Elvish Chimp! XD.
